ROB DEGNAN

Rob Degnan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching. For the past 11 years he has been employed in the fields of Education and Social Work. Rob has also had the honor of working with Shamans and Healers in the United States and France. His Spiritual development and diverse employment history have assisted in forming the foundation for his deep understanding of people of all ages and his ability to connect with them on several levels. Through this Rob is able to enhance the effectiveness of his work with those who participate in drum circles which he facilitates.

Rob has also been exploring and performing music since the age of 8. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with a multitude of musicians from the world over. For the past 10 years the local 9-piece Soul/R&B band, Wayz & Means, has been Rob’s main musical outlet. Besides W&M, Rob has been an integral part of the Chance to Dance band, which performs at the Providence Performing Arts Center, and he explores a variety of musical genres with the poetic and rhythmic collaboration called Art Don’t Pay. Although his musical résumé dates back 25 years, it has been through Health Rhythms and the Recreational Music Making Protocol that he has discovered the true power that exists within creating music with others.

Recreational Music Making is a fun and easily obtainable way for people to gain further insight into who they are and their connection with those around them. This protocol is utilized in a variety of settings from corporate team-building exercises and oncology staff and patients to community drumming groups and birthday parties. Rob welcomes you to join himself and other people from the community to discover the rhythm that lies within you - your rhythmic essence.

Every journey starts with a single beat.

May your first be the first of many to come.
